GOOGLE NIGERIA SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH FUT,MINNA

In order to boost learning and reseach through Information and Communication Technology in the University, Google Nigeria has solicited for collaboration with the Federal University of Tech, Minna in the area of Google applications usage in respect to Google Education edition.

This request was made on Tuesday, 26th Feb,2013 when the Google team paid a courtesy call on the VC in his office at the Gidan kwano campus.

Kendrick Lamar has beaten 2 Chainz and Rick Ross to be named MTV's Hottest MC in the Game. The hip-hop newcomer topped the 2013 countdown following the success of his debut album, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, and he is honoured by the high praise.

 He tells Rap-Up.com, "It's very important for hip-hop. I love that they have debates like that. We need that. It's competitive. Even though we (are) doing these collaborations and stuff like that and we cool, at the same time, this is still rap. It's still competitive and I'm trying to compete with everybody to be the best." 2 Chainz and last year's winner Ross, placed second and third, respectively, while the top five was rounded out by Nas and Drake.

The top 10 also included Big Sean, Kanye West, A$AP Rocky, Future and Meek Mill - but West has already expressed his disappointment after landing at number seven. He ranted, "Yeah, number seven bothers me. To me, I feel like in order for them to put me as number seven, they had to bring up things they didn't like. They didn't like the 'Cruel Summer' album, and I'm like, 'That's just (a) compilation.' "I don't know, it's definitely not based on a body of work. It possibly could just be like overall rap MC swag. What happens is, with these type of things... they don't like 'Givenchy' Kanye, they don't like Kanye in a kilt, they don't like Kanye in a relationship."

Kanye West crowns Lil Wayne the best rapper alive

MTV just released their list for the Hottest MCs in the game and when asked who he felt was the best rapper alive, Kanye, who was placed at No. 7 in the list, picked Lil Wayne.

Here's the thing; Lil Wayne and Jay Z are arch enemies...and being Jay Z's former bff, one would have expected Kanye to pick Jigga. Besides Jay Z is a better rapper than Lil Wayne, right? Stop the beef Kanye...lol

Anyway in an interview after the MTV list came out Kanye explains,  

"Yeah, #7 bothers me. I think that Wayne is the number one rapper in the world."

The House of Representatives on Tuesday March 5th approved life imprisonment for any person convicted of rape. They also approved a minimum of 20 years without an option of fine for persons convicted of gang raping someone.

The bill, which was sponsored by Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa, also approved 25 years imprisonment for any person who attempted to use chemical, biological or any harmful liquid on another person. (e.g pouring acid on anyone).

The bill also approved 4 years in jail or a fine not more than N200,000 or both for any person convicted of performing female circumcision and general mutilation or engaging someone to carry it out. Aiding female circumcision attracts N100, 000 or two years in jail or both.

What if a dude is raped?? i say they give the guy #5m...i know the guys will support me on this one.

A Nigerian who accused his wife of alleged adultery, on Wednesday told a Gwagwalada Upper Area Court in Abuja that she denied him sex for over a year, while having an affair with another man.

Alhaji Bala Ibrahim, who was led in evidence by the police prosecutor, Insp. Martha Paul, told the court that he caught his wife, Fatima, “red-handed” in bed with her lover on 5 January.

“I caught my wife, Fatima at about 2 a.m. having sexual intercourse in her shop with one Nafiu Danaya, also a resident of Sharp Corner, Gwagwalada.

UNIABUJA Engineering students to be transferred to other schools – Minister

The Federal government has concluded all arrangements to quickly transfer some students of the University of Abuja to other institutions for the completion of their studies .

This was disclosed by the Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqayyatu Ahmed, on Tuesday during a meeting with a delegation of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).

She said that the Federal Government has concluded plans to relocate Engineering students of the university to other universities. She noted that the transfer of the students will give the government some time to re-apply for fresh accreditation.

The Minister added that the students who would be re-absorbed had already been identified.

‘Our results show that sexual activity during a migraine attack might relieve or even stop an attack in some cases, and that sexual activity in the presence of headache is not an unusual behaviour,’ the researchers said.
